Targets

  • Introducing worldwide students (during one academic year) into the international aspects of the contemporary fashion industry: design, marketing, commercialization, and manufacturing in different geographical areas.
  • Professionalizing students: creating collections under the same restrictions as in a firm.
  • Bringing together worldwide students and teaching them to communicate and work as a team.
  • Plunging students into the exceptional fashion, art and design environment offered by the fashion capital of the world, Paris.
  • A tutoring system: individual guidance to each student by one teacher (the entire academic staff are at the same time active in the fashion industry)

  • Pre-established positioning (competitors analysis, benchmark etc.)
  • Model building and manufacturing of prototypes outsourced in Asia
  • + A compulsory 2 to 6 month internship within a firm.

Having graduated a fashion school anywhere in the world or possessing an equivalent professional experience

Plan of the collection

Individual collection

  • Pinning down the position of the collection: price range, type of distribution, internationalization etc.
  • Defining the concept-style of the collection, visualizing the style within a 5-year-period (brand approach)
  • Compiling a file of trends/style of the collection: theme, atmosphere, chromatics, strengths
  • Setting up the plan of the collection
  • Going over the fabrics and the accessories
  • Preliminary sketches
  • Decisive choice of sketches, wrapping up the plan of the collection
  • Submitting a technical report to the responsibles of the models to be fabricated
  • Submitting a technical report to the responsibles of the rest of the collection and surveillance of the manufacturing phases outsourced to Shanghai
  • Revising by the responsibles and outlining the technical manufacturing report
  • Submitting the technical manufacturing report + surveillance of the production process
  • Marketing approach, packaging, promotion, merchandising, decoration of the boutiques + production surveillance
